Quarterdeck

Quarterdeck is a game for four players (and no game master) to tell the story of a group striving to complete a great Effort together. This shared goal will drive them for five rounds of play to determine if they succeed in their aim, or are doomed to failure. 

Quarterdeck uses one standard deck of playing cards (with the wildcards removed) and some means of keeping a tally (probably a pen and paper). It is a simple game requiring only a little math and no character sheets.

Quarterdeck is a 500-word seed game written for the Refraction Jam in Nov 2020. Quarterdeck is offered freely for others to hack, use, write for, and build on. All I ask is to be credited for it!
